We are proud to say that our school has had a strong tradition of promoting excellent education and supporting the growth of the whole person. This was achieved through the hard work of our outstanding students, dedicated administrators and educators and engaged parents. Yet, we cannot rest on our laurel; we always strive to continuous focus of meeting the needs of our diverse student population.
One of the many facets of NPS School is our commitment to integrating the values into learning because we believe that developing a basic set of values has always been cornerstone of student’s education. The major challenge about the value in education is that our world changes rapidly and our students live in a fully globalized context in which more people than ever are connected via web. The values that were taught by bygone generation are today more applicable in many new ways. Good citizenship can now be equally applied to good digital citizenship, not only by being a safe internet user but also by being responsible and having respect to oneself and others.
We are striving to create a safe, welcoming and challenging environment that is built on positive relationships; developing the whole student- emotionally, socially and academically. We appreciate each of our students as the unique individuals that they are each with distinct interests, needs, talents, and learning styles.
Today need to turn philosophy into developing our student as effective citizens and workers in the 21st century. The school now looks to the future in a 21st century approach to learning that gives emphasis on higher order learning and thinking as we move away from the traditional rote learning model. In doing so, a focus is given on meta-cognitive skills, problem-solving and the development of the whole person.

I believe that together we form strong partnership and we can equally make valuable contribution to our students’ outstanding educational experiences. Together we can encourage our kids to appreciate our unique Omani identity and heritage, develop a concern for other as a global citizen, and show an active respect for the environment.
Our hope is this website will capture and share the spirit of our supportive and caring school environment as we strive to foster more engagement from your side. I would like you to know that my door is always open for your feedback.

يسرني أن أرحب بكم في موقع المدارس الوطنية فرع الخوير
أنه من دواعي الفخر أن نشير بأن للمدارس الوطنية تاريخ بارز في دعم التعليم المتميز، وتعزيز نمو شخصية الطالب المتكاملة. وبلا شك لم يكن ليتأتى ذلك إلا من خلال جهود طلابنا المتميزين ومعلمينا المثابرين والأداريين وأولياء الأمور ، ولإستمرار هذا النجاح، لا بد من السعي الحثيث لتلبية احتياجات الطلاب المتعددة.
إن أحد أوجه التميز العديدة للمدارس الوطنية هو التزامها بدمج القيم في التعلم، وذلك لأننا نؤمن بأن تطوير منظومة أساسية من القيم هو حجر الزاوية في تعليم الأجيال. ويتمثل التحدي الرئيس في التربية القيمية في أن عالمنا يتغير بسرعة ويعيش طلابنا في سياق عالمي يتواصل فيه أكبر عدد من الناس من أي وقت مضى عبر الشبكة العالمية للمعلومات. فالقيم التي نقلت عبر الأجيال هي أكثر قابلية للتطبيق اليوم من خلال العديد من الطرق الجديدة. فعلى سبيل المثال فقد اتسع مفهوم المواطنة الصالحة في العصر الحالي ليشمل المواطنة الرقمية الجيدة، ليس فقط من خلال الاستخدام الآمن للإنترنت، ولكن أيضًا من خلال أن يكون المستخدم مسؤولاً ومراعيا ملبادئ احترام الذات والآخرين.
في المدارس الوطنية نسعى جاهدين لخلق بيئة آمنة، و مرحبة، و مبنية على علاقات إيجابيةمن أجل بناء شخصية الطالب المتكاملة – عاطفيا واجتماعيا وأكاديميا. كما أننا نعي تماما بأن كل فرد من طلابنا هو شخصية متفردة لديها اهتمامات واحتياجات ومواهب وأنماط تعليمية مميزة.
نحتاج اليوم إلى توجيه فلسفتنا التربوية نحو إعداد طلابنا لمتطلبات القرن الحادي والعشرين واعدادهم للحياة بعد التخرج من المدرسة سواء في التعليم العالي أو في بيئات العمل الجديدة. وتنظر المدرسة الآن إلى المستقبل في نهج القرن الحادي والعشرين المبني على التركيز على مهارات والتفكير العليا، بينما نبتعد عن نموذج التعلم التقليدي. وبذلك سيكون التركيز على المهارات الإدراكية ، وحل المشكلات ، وتطوير شخصية الطالب المتكاملة.

لدي اعتقاد جازم بأننا معًا نشكل شراكة قوية ويمكننا بمعيتكم أن نساهم في تقديم خبرات تعليمية قيمة لأبنائنا الطلاب، ولا شك في انه إذا مددنا جسور التعاون فسوف ننجح في تشجيعهم على تقدير هويتنا وتراثنا العمانيين الفريدين ، اضافة إلى تعزيز اهتماماتهم تجاه الآخرين كمواطنين عالميين ، وإظهار الاحترام الفعال للبيئة.
عليه يحدونا الأمل في أن يقوم هذا الموقع بعكس وتجسيد روح البيئة المدرسية الداعمة والرعاية الالمقدمة لأبنائنا، مع سعينا الدؤوب لتعزيز المزيد من المشاركة من جانبكم. أود أن أنتهز الفرصة لإبلاغكم بأن الباب سيظل مفتوجا لملاحظاتك من أجل التطوير.
